Diana Hamawi, LMFT
As a psychotherapist specializing in relational trauma, I help individuals unravel the deeply ingrained patterns left behind by painful relationships, family dynamics, and emotional neglect. Together, we will create a safe, collaborative space to process your past, restore your sense of self, and build the secure, fulfilling relationships you deserve.
My Background
I am a trauma-focused psychotherapist licensed in California and Nevada. My clinical foundation is built on a Master of Science in Psychology from Oxford Brookes University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Palo Alto University.
Beyond my academic background, I have specialized training to support those navigating the most confusing of human experiences. I received advanced training in narcissistic abuse recovery under Dr. Ramani Durvasula and hold a certification as a Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Clinician.
How We Work Together
I offer a compassionate, validating space for deep, trauma-informed healing. Together, we work to untangle relational patterns, understand your nervous system’s responses, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others. Whether you’re processing a high-conflict relationship, or toxic family dynamics, I meet you where you are. No pressure, no judgment.
In our sessions, I blend the depth of psychodynamic and humanistic work with the practical, evidence-based tools of CBT and Emotionally Focused Therapy. This allows us to look at the "why" behind your past while giving you the "how" to navigate your future..
